Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and music producer. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that made her feel like a non-person. After she participated in school contests and received great praise for her performance, in ninth grade the young girl started to grow more confident. The experience not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered the direction she was heading in her the future. In 1992 she graduated with her degree from New York's Julliard School. She began her career at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's initial Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to win the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by critics. The following year she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a professional singer, she's also produced a single as well as an extensive work. In addition, she's an activist who fights for LGBT rights.
