Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her writing and design. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Her name is well-known for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was influenced by her family background within a New York family of artists. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. Her two first films were noticed, and she was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world recognition as well as the Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. After just three short films MacGraw was named as the top female performer at the box office in history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her handprints and signature engraved. The other films she has appeared on comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw has married thrice.
