Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally referred to as Andra day, is an American R&B artist and singer. Her awards include the Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the numerous awards she's been awarded. The singer was also selected for the Academy Award. Andra Day, a gifted artist and songwriter, with a strong background in gospel music and blues that has a passion for the modern world is more than an R&B throwback specialist. Her ability to blend her jazz influences with gospel and the blues into the R&B genre is remarkable. Cheers to the Fall (2015) her debut album that was a huge success made it into the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and set the stage for several Grammy nominations as well as the Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her contribution to the soundtrack for Marshall receiving both awards. Expectations for her next proper album has been building through singles including Amen (2018) along with Make Your Troubles Go Away (2020) as well as a Golden Globe-winning performance of Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andra Day is the daughter of Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and performed at churches. She shifted her focus from contemporary R&B to pop after graduating however, she was eventually again drawn to soul and jazz singers she was a fan of as a child. Kai Millard Morris was able to catch a performance she gave and then took Day's songs home with him. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran music businessman. Day, who was allied to Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day, became a YouTube sensation and later signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day came out with Forever Mine as her debut track on YouTube. DJs began playing the track in radio stations. The album she released her debut Cheers To The Autumn (2015) was produced by the Adrian Gurvitz. She signed with Warner Bros. Records. It featured the track Rise Up which is now a worldwide song of the social justice movement. Day received two Grammy nominations for the album including Best R&B Album. Day came out with The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, A concept album about the life and work of jazz legend Billie Holiday. That that same year, she appeared as a character in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), which is a biopic about Holiday's life. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. Her career began in television shows like Orange Is the New Black 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her film debut was as Allyson in the series of horror Halloween. Andi Matichak is an American actress who was born on March 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts United States.
